RTWH Takes on the State!

Road to the White House: Day 3
Tuesday, February 4, 2020
Manchester/Concord-Nashua, NH

We started the day by heading to the State House building in Manchester, New Hampshire, which is essentially the state capitol building.

First, obligatory pictures in front of the State House!

Then, we were given a tour of the State House. We were shown memorabilia that has been in the State House for hundreds of years, political items picked up throughout the primaries, and where the representatives meet.

Jazzy and I then made it to Amy's Manchester field office where we did some phone banking before getting a ride to the community college in Nashua where Amy would be speaking that night. This was the first event Jazzy and I would be working, so we were so excited! I ran around the property of the school putting up yard signs while Jazzy helped get the check-in table ready and hung up placards. We got to welcome guests as they found their seats, listen to Amy give her first speech in New Hampshire (before hopping on a plane to vote on removal of office tomorrow), and see the excitement grow in the room. I actually got choked up a bit listening to her speak as the moment just seemed all too surreal.

We got to meet the Senator at the end of the night and she signed a copy of her book for us -- and we were able to get a copy signed for Dr. JSM too. Such a fun night!

If you look closely, you'll see the banner advertising the First in the Nation Primary!
